    CECC reports no new confirmed cases; 334 patients released from isolation Print

    The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on May 5. The CECC reported that 530 additional cases related to COVID-19 were reported on May 4. As of writing, a cumulative total of 64,958 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 63,587. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 438 cases. Of 438 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 347 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval personnel aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 334 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
